Sam Jennings

Sam Jennings is Technical Director to the Council for Responsible Nutrition UK (CRN UK), the UK trade body supporting the food supplements and functional foods sectors, whose members she has been supporting for over 18 years. Sam participates in regular meetings with the UK authorities on various issues, and she is currently Chair of a government-industry forum on food standards and labelling that facilitates open discussion between government policy leads and industry stakeholders. She is also Chair of a UK cross-sector industry working group on probiotics, and participates in a UK cross-sector industry working group on sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) issues impacting UK imports.

Sam is a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) in the UK and a member of the Institute of Food Technologists in the USA. She is an active member of the International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) international Technical Task Forces, and was Chair of the IADSA Technical Working Group from 2012 to 2017.
